The 1st New Millennium International Chamber Music Festival’s artists together with concert violinist Miranda Liu, the founder and artistic director, invite music lovers from around the world to join them in the beautiful city of Budapest and to be inspired by the performances of world-esteemed musicians and ensembles. The concerts will take place at the intimate and historical concert halls of Budapest. Public master classes will also be given and a student concerto competition will be held to showcase star participants of the master classes in a closing concert with the newly formed Central European Strings on 2 September 2019.
The festival will be featuring exciting and outstanding classical musicians who will also teach and guide the participants of the Master Classes via one-on-one lessons and a student recital.
Participants of the solo master classes may play works from the solo, sonata, or orchestral repertoire during the course. The chamber music course is open to pre-formed groups consisting of between two and eight members.
The competition is open to all of the participants of the solo master classes. The prize of the competition is the opportunity to perform the competition’s required work as a soloist with a professional ensemble, the Central European Strings, at the festival’s closing concert on Monday, 2 September 2019. One or more students will be selected.
